I’ve been making changes, but it should be centred (it is in Safari) and when I open it in Firefox it’s all left justified.

Did you want to have some layered content (Divs) in there? And a background image?
Better to keep it as simple as possible.

I started my HTML emails using CSS switched off - so Table mode? All seemed fine and the emails looked ok on my iPhone and in Safari.
But I cannot add images unless they are on layers, but they do not display correctly in Firefox. Am I doing it all wrong?
View this in Safari and then Firefox and you’ll see the problem.

Of course you can.
How do you think FW Express users get on.
Select all your images and turn layering off. FW will build a table structure to hold it all together.

Browsers tend to be far more forgiving than email clients - that is why you should play to the lowest common denominator to give your page as much chance as possible to be seen correctly ie HTML 3.2 (no layered content)
