[Pro] Freeway, Blogger & Google Analytics

I recently customised my Blogger template using the instructions in the SoftPress Knowledgebase.

http://www.softpress.com/kb/questions/36/Blogs+in+Freeway

BUT the Google Analytics action placed the code in the wrong place so it wasn’t tracking site visitors.

I found the solution!

Log into Google Analytics and go to Settings > Profile Settings > Tracking Code

Copy and paste the code into Blogger > Design > Edit HTML, either before if it’s ga,js code, or before if it’s asynchronous code (Google Analytics Help explains more).

Remember to do this again if you re-edit your template in Freeway.

I never imagined I would ‘get my hands dirty’ with code, nor that I would be able to contribute anything useful to this site. So I hope this helps someone the way this site has helped me so often in the past.

Hi jackie, just thought that I would let you know that All tips I find in FW I copy and paste into my text editor and title them, like to build up a library of tips for the future that Imay need to reference.

So just thanking you for sharing this - I know you did not have to.
