[Pro] Freeway issues with Vista

Has anyone heard/encountered any issues with sites created by Freeway Pro not showing on a Vista machine running either IE or Firefox? I have a site that I am working on that shows fine on a mac or on an a Windows XP machine but on ( multiple) Vista machines parts of the site don’t show. Various slide shows either don’t load or once loaded don’t show correctly. Is this due to the code that Freeway uses? Or could it be my use of various swf files loading for the slideshows?

Here is the site link: http://www.josleynphotography.com/test/index/SiteFolder/index.html

Any tips or ideas? Swf optimizer perhaps?

Thanks
DC

No idea about Vista, but I’d like to make a comment about your site. I’d ditch the long page loading, Cool loader icon, but it takes way too long. I’d simply leave if I came across it. If you are using flash or have super huge file sizes then you should consider a different approach, especially for the home page.

Just my two cents.

I am afraid I agree with George about this one - the intro.swf is far too large. Folks just wont wait about for it to load.

Far better to have something smaller/faster loading to give some info about your site before you subject them to that. Even a skip intro button would help.

If you do choose to keep it then it will be interesting when you look at the visit stats and see how long people spend on particular pages.

And for the sections that do actually contain text - please make it HTMl text - search engines aren’t going to like such a flash heavy site at the best of times so you want to use as much HTML text as possible.

Again I don’t know about the Vista issue but it is going to be a moot point if your visitors don’t wait about to see it.
