[Pro] Freeway Pro is trying to eat my laptop!

I have been toying with a web page that uses inline construction. When I tried to move one of the floated divs (the NAV element) using cut-and-paste I ran into a big problem. While I could easily copy paste it to the location I desired, I could not remove it without sending FWP into the spinning wheel of death - consuming all available CPU cycles and raising the laptop temperature by 40º F. My only recourse was to force FWP to quit.

I removed all the styling and actions applied to the html element, but even then I get the same result. For now I have renamed it the “zombie-div”, as in the un-relenting assault of the undead, as can be seen in the source.

I’m still in the process of converting this page to html5 - using only FWP - and tidying up the code to fit my standards… so comments are welcome, unless they are about it being unfinished.

Oh, if SP or anyone else has any experience with laptop-frying lockups like this, those comments are most especially welcomed.

Hi Ernie,

If the problem’s repeatable we should be able to find and fix the problem if we have the file. Could you send it to support(a)softpress.com, please?

Thanks,

Joe

That might be a little large for our mail server. Could you ping it through Walter’s sending service (or similar), please?

Much appreciated,

Joe
