I have been loading my website using the same information for years. Last week it stopped loading. I get the message "Cannot create directory because the server reported an error. (501 Invalid number of arguments.) According to my website host, there are no limitations or restrictions on the server. What happened and how can I fix this?

MKD (make directory) should be followed by a name. If there isn’t one, the server will complain (as it does) that there is an invalid number of arguments.
Have you added any new folders recently, and is there anything unusual about the way they are named?
It’s possible that the upload information in the document has been corrupted in some way. If that’s the case, the following steps should clear it from the document:
Open the document in Freeway
Choose Save As from the File menu
Save under a different name and select the Stationery option (second radio-button) at the bottom of the dialog.
(Because you are saving as stationery, Freeway will remove upload information)
Close the document
Select the new document in the Finder and display the Get Info dialog
Turn off “Stationery Pad” so it’s a normal document again
Reopen the new document
Try uploading again. You will need to re-enter your upload details: server, directory, user name etc.
