[Pro] ftp-upload problem

If i try to upload my page, i get this error message:

That’s what i tried:
ftp-mode passive, non-passiv and auto: all fail.
Upload with filezilla: ok
On this server i have some more pages and the freeway upload is no problem.
Anybody an idea?
You can find this website here: spopi.de is available for purchase - Sedo.com, it works fine.

wow David, your’e very quick.
The message says:
“Remaining objects: 126.

Can not complete upload, because the host could not be resolved.”

It sounds like you are having a DNS problem. Can you please try the following in Terminal.app?

host spopi.de

followed by

traceroute spopi.de

There is no need to do the second one if the first one fails.

If this needs further explanation, what I mean by try is, “type this line, then press Return, and look at what is printed back to the screen”.

There’s probably something wrong with your settings,

website here: spopi.de is available for purchase - Sedo.com, it works fine.

Not here when trying to reslove spopi.de, took > 1 min to open the page.

Settings change is needed on the DNS server: check to be sure that you have a DNS A record for spopi.de (without the www) and a CNAME pointing www.spopi.de to spopi.de. Alternatively, you can do this in the other direction, with an A record for www, and a CNAME for the domain, but I think that’s harder to do.

I take that back, your DNS is configured correctly, so this may be a connectivity issue, or perhaps configuration on the FTP server side of things. You have a full A record for both www.spopi.de and spopi.de, both pointed to the same IP address, so that’s not where the issue is happening.

What do you have in the directory path for your upload settings? Not password or user - just directory.

Having had this on my small german Freeway board some months ago.

The solution there:

Use “passive” mode (always and nothing else) and even if you already tried it - try it again.

I’m confused because FW-upload with other websites on this server ( spopi.de is available for purchase - Sedo.com or spopi.de is available for purchase - Sedo.com ) works fine.

Are you using these folders as sub domains?

And to reiterate

What do you have in the directory path for your upload settings? Not password or user - just directory.

well Hubert, I hope uploading hadn’t been part of …

Remove the ftp. in front of server (you already chose the ftp as method).

Port 21 (was standard in former times)

Remove the slash in directory ( I think if it should be in front).

Finally choose passiv(e) as recommended and it should (ooohhh) work.

Cheers

I have upgraded my freeway 5 Pro to freeway 6 and now I can’t upload my pages to my server. I have no problems uploading Freeway 5 Pro to my server but now that I have upgraded to 6 I do. I have called my server and told them about this issue and have never came up with a solution. I’ve done the same things FTP mode mode positive, non positive, Port 21 and still no luck. I don’t know if I have to change my settings or what to do. The message reads just like H.Banken reads" cannot complete upload because the host could not be resolved".Can someone help me please.

Thanks

Rss,

Try contacting Softpress support with your bug. The FTP option works for me!

In the meanwhile upload to a local folder then upload that to your web server using a dedicated FTP client.
