[Pro] Google Maps API not being recognized

Funny how it works in Safari as well as Chrome, but not in firefox.

Any idea what could be the cause of this?

OK, this is really weird, it’s not working in Safari or Chrome now either and it was when I opened it in them earlier today.

When I clicked on the link this dialog box opened from google: Google has
disabled use of the Maps API for this application. The provided key is not
a valid Google API Key, or it is not authorized for the Google Maps
Javascript API v2 on this site. If you are the owner of this application,
you can learn about obtaining a valid key here:

I have a valid key, authorized the account and followed the instructions to insert the key.

Google’s API console shows no issues with the API v2 or v3 and as I mentioned it worked this morning in everything except firefox, but somehow seems to be broken everywhere now.

I had double checked all this when I updated my address last month and it was all working then too. This has worked fine in the past, but now seems to be awfully buggy.

It gets weirder.

Once I log out of my google account, it works again in Safari and Chrome, but still doesn’t work in firefox.

Problem solved.

I needed to add the website in my google maps API account under simple API access in the referers line as both fuzegraphics.com and www.fuzegraphics.com.

Anything with the www. in front wasn’t being authorized by google. Even though my domain’s DNS Settings were correct for both ways of typing in the domain.

Have you listed both the www and non www versions of your site?

ie Referers: Any referer allowed
