There is one error report like this for each page in my site (5 pages).
I started this new site with v5.5 and love many of the new features (so much so I’ve already paid for the upgrade!) but I’m stumped with this one. I must have set this somewhere but at my age its difficult to remember my name sometimes.
I’ve applied the sitemapper to my main site folder as in the 5.5 help and all seemed ok.
This problem above seems to be reported for each page in the site when I check in with Googles webmaster tools so I’m unable to get my site indexed correctly for search engines.
I remember that I did set the date offset somewhere (I’m UK based) but I now can’t find where I did this adjustment.
Hi Roger,
I’ve just tried this myself and have reproduced the issue you are
seeing. I think the issue may be down to localisation of the date
format as it appears the day and month values are getting incorrectly
transposed. I’d hope that we can have this resolved before we end the
preview and roll out the final version of 5.5.
Thanks for your feedback.
Regards,
Tim.
I’ve tried the fix that you’ve supplied but the sitemap.xml doesn’t seem to have changed.
I’ve restarted Freeway Pro, deleted the site map so that I could see it being downloaded again but the details are identical - including the time stamp for each page!
Hi Roger,
Ensure you’ve the updated action installed as per my previous email
and, just to be sure, remove the folder action from the site folder on
your freeway document. Then apply the folder action again. This should
force Freeway to use the updated action over a copy it may have cached
internally.
If you are still having problems with this try holding the control key
down and select ‘Publish Everything’ from the File menu.
Regards,
Tim.

I’ve carried out your recommendations and then inspected the sitemap. With the exception of the actual date and time the format appears identical to previous.
2010-08-14T16:43:37+0100
HOWEVER - my observations:
I then went to http://www.xml-sitemaps.com and generated a sitemap - the format was identical in the date time area apart from the offset which was +00:00 - it did add some unwanted folders though.
I then inspected a sitemap on another of my sites that is indexed by Google ok and the format is the same with one exception which is the time offset value is +00:00 where as the problem sitemap has an offset of +0100
How do I tell freeway Pro to correct the offset generation or to set it to its default value?
All help appreciated although this may be a rather larger problem if the site map is wrong for everyone in v5.5!
Just the date without the time and offset - the action shows 1.1 at bottom right but this may be because Tim sent this direct as a quick fix. Whatever it is mine works at the moment as Google seems to be ok with it!
I’ve just downloaded the full version of Freeway Pro 5.5 and it hasn’t apparently updated sitemapper correctly. The quick fix supplied by Tim did work on 5.5 Preview version - and now I seem to be back where I started and Google has rejected my sitemap yet again with date errors. They are identical to the ones I had to begin with as shown above in this thread.
The only action I can see on ActionsForge is “Simple Site Map” 1.3. Is this the one I should use as there is no other information available and no associated icon as an action.
The Google “error” is in fact a warning, it should still work just fine. We hope to have a fix available as soon as possible.

OK - now I’m confused.

Sorry - I’m not sure about this at all as Google again rejected my sitemap and now I’ve dropped out of site on a search which has been giving me a no 5 spot on page 1 !
Worrying, as I now have to generate this elsewhere to ensure I get my top spot back again.

in a site: http://www.cesarsalumiporchettificio.info/
I used the sitemap action in the submission page tells me that the item is ok, in my google account I tried to send the xml file generated by the action, but google tells me:
“An invalid date was found. Please fix the date or formatting before resubmitting.”
I downloaded igoomap and I created another xml file from the same site: http://www.cesarsalumiporchettificio.info/ , google tells me that the sitemap is fine, the xml file is ok.
What version of Freeway are you using? It sounds like you might need to update to 5.5.2.
