[Pro] Graphic item with inline construction

I’m using 5.6.5 Pro and have question regarding inserting graphics while using in-line/box model construction. I have a 70px tall inline html item that is set at 100% and contains the navigation menu for the site in it. I would like to put a logo that is approx 200x200 over that html item, preferably at the center point of the page. Is this possible or do the heights of all the items within that parent need to be the same?

Can you show us a visualisation of what you are trying to do - or an example page.

Is it possible to post jpegs here? I do have an image of what I’m trying to do.

Thanks,

If you are hosting the image on a server somewhere you can just post a link to it - if not then use something like Flickr to share.

Heres a sample of what I’m trying to do:

Background: Background Supersizer action
Navigation Bar: Set to 100%

I’m trying to add the logo layer over the transparent layer. Being they are different heights I’m not having any luck making it happen.

Thanks,
Ted

This may not be what you want, but here is an example of how to do this in
Pro 6 with CSS.

Link to the file is the center image.

Ernie,
Thanks! Thats pretty close. Is there any way of having the navigation bar stretch the full width of the browser?

Sure Ted, if you’ve downloaded the sample file, locate the item “bigbox”.
Remove the border on it, then go to the Dimensions panel and uncheck the
Maximum Width restriction. This will allow the bigbox item to grow to the
available browser width. Since it is the parent of the main-menu item, it
is the only thing constricting its width. At this point the menu (and and
it’s parent will stretch to fill the browser width.

That file has helped a lot. Thank you. I’m getting closer to getting the results I’m after. Did you use the CSS Menu action for the text? Only other thing is how does the graphic item get inserted in that list?

Thanks for your help!

No actions, just an actual honest-to-goodness CSS menu – without an action!

The image is placed as a background image on the style .subMENU li a
use the link I sent you privately to upload your logo or graphic to me and
I will help you with this part of your project.
