Hi all
have a little challenge.
I have to use action Graphic link to file, to a word document download
I also use Graphic link to pdf, with no problems at all
but the GL to File action can not find the .docx
I have it it Media folder with PDF version, and it won’t grab it…
any thing I amy be doing wrong?
I also tried UPload stuff - and that did not work either

What do you mean by ‘can not find the .docx’ - do you mean it is not uploading it or it is not selectable in the action selector.
Works fine for me.
First thing I would do is ensure that it had a web ready file name with no spaces or funny characters in it - stick to alphanumerics underscores and hyphens.
The alternative method is to use Upload Stuff to get the file to the server and then just a regular hyperlink to the file.

I think no I see the problem… The site is not uploaded yet on server. I had problem in Preview.
That must of course be the problem,

Yup.
Curious as to why you want to involve a docx file at all. Personally I consider them to be a potential hazard harbouring Macro Viruses and the like and am adverse to downloading one except from a trusted source.
Do you offer the pdf option too so the visitor can choose?

Yes of course I know this…I know word doc is not good to put up
but its an application that needs to be editable.
Its for my brother’s foundation. I have 2 options download pfd and download docx
Is there a better solution as an editable file?

If it is a form that is to be completed then you can create a PDF that the user can complete but you would probably need Acrobat Pro.
Acrobat also offers the option to submit the form via email. And I dont mean saving it first and sending but submitting from within the form.

Yes I have Acrobat professional but many people do not so probably would not work for this
or am I wrong…?
Is it possible for me to create an editable PDF form that anyone can use?
