I am redesigning this site from scratch in freeway. For some reason, I can’t link directly to the guestbook, but if you go to the homepage and click the link on the left that says “guestbook” it will take you there.
My question is, how can I do what the previous designer did with the drop down menu for the year? I’ve done something similar with show/hide target layers, but that was always dealing with images, this is all text. I’m considering page anchors, but I’m thinking this would be pretty long to fit onto one page, if I tried to list all the years inline.
Any other ideas how to organize this HUGE guestbook for FreeWay would be greatly appreciated.
I’m looking around and I’m getting lost. Can you explain this a little more please? I should mention, this is not a traditional guest book in the sense of automatically being added to the page. People will email their comments, I will curate and add them in manually.
I need to pull in the old comments and have a way to deal with new ones as they come in.
Thanks,
Doty

As I suggested to another FW user who wants to do something similar - bite the bullet and use the existing stuff as it is but start afresh for 2013 with a system that you dont need to constantly manage.
I appreciate that there are going to be that many over a year - going by 2011 and 2012 - but these only have value if they are updated regularly. Far better for you to get a pre-rolled solution.
