[Pro] Help! New Pages wont open when i click header tab

Hi there! I am new to freeway pro. I am in the process of building a website and I have added new pages. These new pages will not open when I test out the site in Safari. When I click the tab that corresponds to the page it takes me to another page. How do I solve this issue? I realize that it might be a broken link but I do not know how to fix it. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Are you working from a template that has a Menu on the master page?

If so then you will need to make sure that the links on the Master are correct.

Once correct there then you will need to check the individual ‘child’ pages and ensure that when you select the menu item that the ‘Use Master Content’ selection is checked in the Item Inspector.

If this is not what you are doing then can you post a link to a page online that is not correct?

Hi Jillian,

As Dave suggested, posting a page online will help others look to see where the problem is.

If that is not possible at the moment, click on one of the tabs (items) and look at the inspector window to determine if the item is a graphic item or html item (if inspector window isn’t open, go to the menu bar - click on Windows/Inspector if it is not checked to indicate that it is already open)

At the top of the inspector window, it will indicate that it is a graphic item or an HTML item.

If it is a graphic item with an active link, there will be a blue ball in the top left corner of the item. In the bottom left of the Freeway workspace window, to the right of the little round ball, there will be the name of the link or if there isn’t a link, it will indicate “No Link”. To either create a link to another page or to change the current link, click on the link (i.e. “No Link”), then scroll to select the appropriate link.

If it is an html item, double click on the item, highlight the word(s) and then follow the above to determine the link status.

Lastly, there is a Freeway Moments podcast on links - Introducing Links - that you may want to view in iTunes.

Let us know if still need assistance.

Bryan
