[Pro] Hide/show wonkiness

This is all in FW5.4.

I have a carousel with the second pane using two layers that I want to be able to be clicked from an image to toggle back and forth as to which one is shown and able to be played.

I’m guessing I have a setting wrong, but I’ve tried every combination possible. What is happening is clicking on the image of the woman displays the correct video, but click the image of the man does nothing.

If anyone who can help me figure out what is happening I would appreciate it.

Check that the correct pane is selected in the Carousel Tab Action (or Carousel 2 Tab, if that’s what you’re using). I have found occasionally that the connection will be messed up, even if it appears to be correctly selected, I may have to click on the picker and choose it again and re-publish to get it to work.

The carousel is working fine. It’s the hide/shoe layer not doing what I ent.

Thx

Oh, I thought you were using Carousel to switch between the two elements.

My 2c - too complicated for Joe Average user.

I don’t think I would put video in an auto running Carousel like that.

Ok, point well taken. But it doesn’t help solve my issue

I appreciate that but because of the page complexity it is not that easy to see from the code output where it is going wrong.

I suspect that we would need to see the FW doc itself.

What’s the best way to share the doc / code?

I would make a new FW doc with just the page in question copied into it.

You can copy a page from 1 FW doc to another by selecting the page in the Page/Site Sidebar Edit/Copy

Select the Site Folder in your new FW doc and Edit>Paste

Now in the new FW doc with its single page do a File>Save Archive

This will bundle up all the media etc used in your FW doc and save it into a folder of your choosing on your Mac.

Now - via the Finder - select your Archive folder, Right Click and choose Compress “myarchive folder” or whatever you named it.

This will give you a zip file that contains your FW doc and all the media used within it.

Now how you share that is up to you.

You could FTP it to your server and share a link to the zip or you could email it - if not too large - to interested parties.

Or you could use Walter’s Fling http://fling.walterdavisstudio.com/ to send it to someone.

Clarification may be required -

Select the Site Folder (in the Site/Page Sidebar) in your new FW doc and Edit>Paste
