You could do this in a couple of ways
1 - ScriptyAccordion - available from ActionsForge.com
2 - An example of a javascript method http://www.deltadesign.co/examples/disclose_more.html - Walter may have rolled this into an action. I will have a look.
Bear in mind that you will need either a non CSS based layout or an inline layout to get the text below to move down.

DeltaDave you have been most helpfull its what i thought but didnt know what it was called but i think either will work although i do want css to control the look but ill see what i can do.
On the example i have given the uncollapsed box shows randomley one of the points in the expanede box. Any ideas?
