Target show/hide can do this with several identical images (barring colour) stacked on top of each other.

Yes! This is perfect! Please tell me what actions are needed to produce this.
Thank you very much.

I will put a download link for an example page up there when I get a minute - what version of FW do you have?

David,
I got it working, but only sort of. The images suddenly developed a weird background image which changes based on what I put under it. You can see my meager attempt at the bottom of this page.
I have the images offset to help me see what is going on.
Thanks for all your help!

Not seeing a weird bg but your green hoodie (the one that is there when the page loads) - is stacked above the others when it should be at the bottom of the pile so that others appear over the top of it and hide the green one.
In the page/site inspector drag the green hoodie item until it is higher up the list than the others (higher on the list is lower on the page)
Or select it and send to back. Item>Send to back

You would need a way to “catch” (and validate) the user-uploaded photo
on the server, process it with the base image, and deliver the result
to the user’s browser. Yes, it’s do-able, but it’s mostly an exercise
in PHP or Ruby and ImageMagick or GD.
