There is an Action built into Freeway for this, called Navigation
Menu. You create a page for each option, then use the Action to create
the list element. In the Action interface, you choose the page that
each option should link to, and add the option label separately. I
don’t recall how many options this one allows you, but there may be a
-60 version of it at ActionsForge (just as there are for the various
Target Actions), so it’s worth looking there too if you need lots of
options.

Hi - does anyone know how in Freeway Pro? - I need to create a drop
down menu - once you select the word in the drop down it will take
you to a page?
Hope that makes sense? Heres a sample but I don’t need the GO button
as well - see FIND PARK drop down top right
Like I said, I haven’t tried it in a while. Navigation Popup is the
one I meant. You can make it any size you like. If you make the box
over 12px tall, then it will appear as a list, but if you make it 12px
tall, then it will become a size=1 picker like the park site had.
Looks like there’s only 20 options in the stock one, but there’s a
“50” version on the Forge.

I can find Navigation popup and Navigation Bar but not Nav… Menu?
Does this need to be applied to something for it to appear in the
menus?
I used the Nav popup but that was presenting a list not a drop down?
Cheers
There is a Navigation Pop-up 50 - but with any of these if you reduce the height of the container to one line you will get the Pop-up rather than a list.
Okay. Just so you know, Google won’t be able to find any of these
links, because they rely on JavaScript, which it doesn’t “do”. If
that’s important to your current application, you should find a way to
put links to those pages somewhere crawl-able!

Oh yes thanks they are normal links too these are just shortcuts… I am however looking at using Wowslider http://wowslider.com/ - I may have a conflict right? Jquery…
Was also hoping to use simple search action but again - will this work with Wowslider?
Only on the homepage but by the sounds of it the above use javascripts The simple search does, so does the navagation popup? Are these javascripts not the same as Script/Protaculous?
Not all JavaScript in Freeway is Prototype. The Navigation Popup was
written way before Prototype ever hit the stage, so you don’t have any
worries there. What you need to watch are any of my Scripty Actions,
any of the FX Actions, or if you are using Target Show/Hide anything
– but that only if you checked the Effect option.
