I was wondering what the best way to approach would be within Freeway Pro to perform something similar to the following scenario.
I will use this Freewaytalk website as my base example.
Let’s say that in this centre pane, instead of all these listed threads, I had say 4 rounded buttons and if I pressed on one of the buttons, I actually wanted like another window to present itself over the centre pane buttons and do something there.
I would then have a return button that would hide this layered screen over the original centre pane button screen and present the user with the original four buttons.
The thing that I want to always appear is the header and left and right sections for all screens the appear. It’s just the centre shell that I want to play with.
Hope the above makes sense. I guess it’s a bit like Google Gmail. When you choose “Settings” at top right, your Inbox screen is covered only with the Settings window.
Thanks for getting back to me. I guess what my main goal is as follows. If you or anyone else can suggest options, would really appreciate it.
Basically have a few buttons on the main screen which when pressed, calls a jQuery Lightbox plug-in to display a popup with info, which maintains the main website screen with heading and left and right side-bars.
My problem where I need other’s opinions is that I also have a button called “Screenshots”, which at the moment, goes to a new page all together (that no longers shows the main screen heading and left and right sidebars) which then allows the user to press a screen thumbnail, displaying the full size screenshot in the jQuery Lightbox plug-in.
I basically want the “Screenshots” to still use the jQuery Lightbox plug-in but also display the main web site start-up page in the background.
I can’t try this because I have had a logic board failure on my main machine but Walter’s ScriptyLightbox allows you to open an html page in a lightbox.
Could you use that to open the html page that has the screenshots thumbnails on it? - Worth a try!
