[Pro] how to avoid overlap of html items

Greetings,

I’m having problems with making my site work on mobile devices. I’ve managed to make it look quite good on my iphone 5 in portrait. But not on landscape. I set a breakpoint of 568 (gleaned from multiple sources), but, eg, the cited page has separate html items colliding-eg the picture and a list of further links. Of course it looks fine in Freeway, and seems to be fine when shrink the size of my browser to where the breakpoint kicks in. Perhaps I have the breakpoint wrong?

Any suggestions in general about locking in the relative positions of these items on a page is appreciated. I used to do this with tables, but that is not encouraged these days.

Also, I’m using HTML 4.01 Transitional. Should I switch to HTML 5?
