[Pro] How to correctly export a site?

Hi gang,

I would like to send a friend my freeway pro 6 designed website. What is the correct way to gather all of the freeway files, pngs, etc and send it to him? He is using the freeway pro 6 trial and will be buying a license soon.

Try ‘File > Save Archive …’ from the menubar.

On his end, within Freeway, does he simply select file - open to import the website?

You will end up with a freeway document, accompanied with the used resources/media. He’ll just has to open the freeway-document from within FreewayPro 6 in order to work with it. It’s exactly how Quark XPress and InDesign works … it collects all used data together with the work document itself.

You never import html in Freeway, that’s not what’s it for.

This sucks, it seems my backup drive is corrupted; however spotlight does find the traces to the files, the files themselves can’t be found, because they’re not on the expected location (anymore) …

He’ll just has to open the freeway-document from within FreewayPro 6 in order to work with it.

The only other thing he may need is copies of any 3rd party actions used in the site. The FW document will cache a copy but he should install any he doesn’t have.
