Have been using Mal’s for a cpl yrs with no problem, but had to redo website from scratch and now have an odd issue we can’t figure out, despite googling/reading manual.
Made no relevant changes to Mal’s cart setup.
Using eBuy Button Action via Freeway Pro 7.0.1 on our “Buy Now” products. Not using forms.
If a customer clicks on the Ebuy button at two or more different places FOR THE SAME ITEM (we’re selling 3 different books, that’s all), each one becomes a new entry in the shopping cart.
Previously, the quantity changed for the item set up under that name.
Have doublechecked all names in each of our Ebuy buttons, and yes, they are identical.
Our demographic is elderly non-tech women, who get confused by this.
Can anyone tell us exactly what we need to change so that a customer who clicks on two (identically named in Action window on FW) buttons sees a quantity of 2, rather than two individual entries in the shopping cart??

With discountpr the cart checks to see if a product being added to the cart is the same as one it already has in the order. It does that using the scode field if it is present or the product’s description (product) if it is not. If the product is already in the order then it increments the quantity instead of adding a new line item.
scode = stockcode
So it’s possible to do this if you hand code. But does Mal actions allow you to add a stock code? I don’t know
