[Pro] html/auction seller/ebay problem

Good Morning. I’ve had an ongoing problem with the way FreeWay produces it’s html code. I’m sure I’m doing something wrong, but I wonder if someone could help me out.

Here is my workflow (using FreeWay Pro 5):

  1. Create & publish auction page in FreeWay using AuctionSeller action.

  2. Go to page in browser, view source and copy html

  3. Go to GarageSale, paste code and fix the broken links manually

Here is an example page: http://www.rentoys.com/ebay/Auctions/Swords/Oriental/samurai.html

It all appears fine, but if you look at the source code, you will see that some of the image links look like this: “…/…/Swords/Oriental/etc.etc” It’s the “…/…” that’s creating the problem. I can fix it, but it’s very time consuming, especially for lots of auctions. I realize the problem happens when I’m referencing another resource in a separate folder. (Copy & paste from another freeway page…) Is there a way to “force” FreeWay to publish the links differently?

Thanks so much!
Doty

Hi Doty,
As you say the pasted items are still being written with relative
links which will break in your auction page without some fixing. Can
you send me a copy of your Freeway document please so i can step
through the code and see exactly what is happening?
If the file is huge then send it to me with Send U It;

Thanks,
Tim.

Thanks for the fast reply, Tim. Indeed, the freeway file is over 60 MB itself. The media folder is over 100 MB. What exactly do you need? Is there anything I can do to reduce the size of it? My connection is very slow, so anything I can do ahead of time will help. I’ll try to use stuffit, but it will still be pretty big.

Thanks again,
Doty

Hi Doty,
Forget about the images and other resources as I don’t need to see
those. Select a typical auction page in your Freeway file site panel
and copy and paste this into a new, blank, document. This should cut
the size down dramatically. If you can send me a copy of this cut down
page then I should be able to see what’s going on.
Regards,
Tim.
