[Pro] html text box and transparency

If I have a text box with for instance, a 50% opacity is there any way of having the text render at 100% – or at least a workaround?

Set the background color of the box to 50% opacity, not the box itself. In Freeway, you do this by applying a graphic background to the box (second tab, click the first button in the Graphic Effects segment, then set the background color and opacity in that segment, not in the main Opacity segment near the top of that tab).
