I typed in “what it takes” but on some browsers other than Firefox it shows up as “what it takesâ€ What is the action that can fix this? Thank you, Anne

Go into your page Inspector, and change the Encoding picker from
Automatic to something else, ideally Unicode (UTF-8).

Hey Walter, My pages are set to Unicode 5.1 UTF 8. Any other ideas? Thank you, Anne

Fixed it. I changed the encoding from the Unicode 5.1 to automatic and it fixed the problem. Thanks for showing me where to look. Anne

That’s really odd, because that’s the opposite of what should have
happened. Can you create two test pages containing your test text, one
with the encoding set to automatic, and another set to UTF-8, and post
links to them here? Make sure that the problem duplicates in the UTF-8
page and resolves in the Automatic page when you do.
