[Pro] hyperlink mailto to email not working??

hi all,
I find when i’m create a mapped area with a hyperlink to a mailto address it sometimes doesn’t work. I have 2 on the site i’m constructing and they’re created in exactly the same way, yet one works perfectly and the other doesn’t seem like a link ie the cursor arrow doesn’t change to a hand to show there’s a link there… Any ideas please??

here’s the url for the hotmail link that doesn’t work (last text in the paragraph just above photo)

When it is text you should just use a plain old email hyperlink.

thanks a lot David… and i think i’ve worked out why it didn’t work… I think you can’t put a mapped area mailto link over an html item. It works only on my graphic items so sometimes i just make a graphic item and pop the email stuff in there… … good idea to do the plain old email hyperlink … prob better ( though you do get that underlined email address … there are worse life situations…
as ever thanks

Only if you choose to.

You can change the the appearance of your link styles in several ways. You will find many threads on the subject here.

1 method is to look at the Inspector with nothing selected on your page. With the paintbrush icon clicked look in the Links section.

At the end of each of Normal, Visited, Hover and Visited you will see an underlined U U

While watching your link text on the page click this U at the end of the Normal line once. Your underline should disappear.

You can repeat this for the other 3 states.

As I said there are other methods to do this on an item by item basis - this one does it on a page-wide basis - have a search here for ‘Link Styles’.
