As long as your page isn’t set to a Strict doctype, all you need to do is choose the Target picker in the Hyperlink dialog when you create the link, and choose _blank from the various options listed there. This will cause a new window to open for that link. This option is only available within the Hyperlink dialog, not the little globe picker on the bottom of the application window. Highlight or select your link object (text or image) and choose Edit / Hyperlink from the main menu, or press Apple-K.

How do I get a hyperlink to open in a new window so that my customer remains on my website? (from my site, for example, to a Facebook page,or email)
Is there a way to make the new window a different size from the origin window? The parent is larger and I would like the linked page to float over it. Thanks!
DeltaD, Thanks for the response. Script yLightbox2 opens a JPG, the size designated. I’m looking to open a smaller sized-page over the parent page. Is there a way to do this?
I’m not sure if SL2 can do this, but ScriptyLightbox 3 can open anything you like – if you check “Link to a page” in the interface, you can link to anything that will display in an iframe (hint: anything at all).
