All was working well on my Mac and the network solutions server. then we went live and the iframe disappeared and I got the “Page Not Found” error.
Went back to my freeway pro files and the url’s, that i got from the provider, are still in the action dialog but the images, inside the iframe that I could see in preview, are no longer visible and I have the “page not found” error as well. Which was never there before we went live.
I’m not a developer, so I really don;t know what you’re asking me about a subdomain on a scottseed server. You mean the server where the site is hosted? Network Solutions
here’s what I did;
This site was hosted by another company, DTN, who provides this type of info. They were the ones who provided the urls for the iframe.
I switched host companies because they would not host it if I designed it. So, I used a Network Solutions hosting package. tried it out and everything was working at that stage n NS server. when we went live about 24 hours ago, for the first two hours all of the iframes could be seen. i even tried it on my iphone and it worked. then after that the iframes went away and I got this “page not found” error.
Here’s the kicker, I opened my freeway pro files and the same error was on the page. It wasn’t there before.
It sounds like that when DTN were hosting scottseed.net these files (that you are trying to link to) were in the dtn subdomain at scottseed.net
Now that you have moved hosts the file ie index.cfm is still on the dtn server and not on your current server.
The fact that this continued to display after you switched hosts may be down to cacheing but now the cache is cleared you are getting a 404.
Did you transfer all files/folders from the dtn server to the new one at NS? If so did the index.cfm get transferred?
If not it may be that you can link your iframe to the files that are still on the DTN server but you will have to ask DTN for a publicly available url for them.
