[Pro] Images overlapping Text in Showtime

Take a look at the attached link and scroll down to the Showtime element. All seems fine however, when you select Portrait picture such as image 6 or 24 then the enlarged image displays overlapping the text below it.

Why does this happen?

Thx

John

Sorry - dont have Exhibeo to try this but I would consider a few things.

1 There is an Unsafe JavaScript attempt to access frame with URL https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key= Domains, protocols and ports must match.

Might want to try the page without that on it.

2 Crop your portrait pics to landscape

3 Make your layout (at least from the Showtime element down) inline so that anything below is pushed down.

You really will have to consider this (or RPL)

Have a look at your page in Safari - enable Zoom Text Only (under Safari’s View menu). Now use Cmd+ to increase the text size.

This is what some other browsers (and folk that have increased their standard font size setting) will see.

Not pretty is it?

I think that’s one of the biggest misconceptions by newer web-designers -
that how it looks in my browser is how it will look for everyone else. It’s
an easy assumption to make but nothing could be further from the truth…
unless you’ve planned for - and built for - that little bit of flexibility
needed when going from browser to browser and OS to OS.

Thank You both for your candid responses.

I have started to do some work using Backdraft and that seems to be helping me.

However this current site will also need a closer inspection hopefully soon to try and sort out some of the "Other"Browser issues

Backdraft is built with inline construction, so becoming comfortable with
that will give your pages a little flexibility, which is mostly what is
needed anyway. The rest can be sorted as you go.

Best luck!

I have taken a look at this page again and have tried to add RPL, on the surface it all seems OK, but the Showtime Exhibeo action did not work…would not display in the browser… I re Selected the Exhibeo element via the action and it displayed OK in the Page view, but when i previewed the Page via the Browser none of the page will display any more.

I have searched for items with RPL and Exhibeo in the KB and in this forum and can not find anything…

Any suggestions please?

John
