I have installed WebYep actions, now I want tinyMCE so I can format it in Richtext. How do I get the tinyMCE plugins to appear in WebYep?
Also, is there a way of cutting and pasting already formatted text and have it retain its formatting? Html code? I am sure it is information is out there somewhere, but I just cannot find it.
When you have extracted the TinyMCE package you should get a folder called tinymce
Then place that folder into the opt subfolder of the webyep-system/program directory. (remember you need to ftp this to your server). The next time you open the Rich Text Editor window in the browser, WebYep will use that WYSIWYG HTML editor.
I uploaded the following to the root directory:
webyep-system/program/opt/tiny-mce/ all the files in that directory and It is still not appearing. I also tried placing it in a opt/jscripts/tiny-mce directory.
restarted the browser, locked, unlocked the webyep-
another question, should the web-yep data directory be renamed 777? read that somewhere in my searching…
Not renamed, but given those permissions. In Transmit, click on the folder and choose File / Get Info from the main menu. (Yes, a folder is a file.) In the resulting dialog, you can either enter 777 in the mode field or click all the little checkboxes in the matrix. Do not click on the Apply to Enclosed… button – just the Apply button.

Max: one thing I did wrong was not putting the tinymce folder up, just the tiny-mce folder. Now I see the webyep recognizes the tinymce from the heading" Rich Text (TinyMCE):" but I still do not see the interface.
Hi Margret
when you downloaded the tinymce zip file and extracted it you should have had a folder called tinymce and not tiny-mce.
I am not sure were are you getting the tiny-mce named folder from.
Anyway to avoid confusion here is the direct download link
that will download the latest tinymce plugin folder directly to your downloads folder on your mac, without the need to navigate through Moxicode’s site to find the download link.
When I click on the link posted above “my mac” extracts the zip file automatically and gives me a folder called tinymce.
If its named anything else then it needs to be renamed to tinymce and that entire folder is placed in the opt folder as described in the manual
Thanks for the quick response. the tiny-mce folder was inside the tinymce folder. Now I have uploaded the tinymce up to the server opt subfolder of the webyep-system/program directory, but I still do not see the interface.
I have been trying all day without success. Tomorrow afternoon I am meeting with the client to show her how to change the text and I am unable to format the text field. Words go up but no paragrah breaks, no bold, no italic. I do not know why it is not working.
Max, Margaret, I’m very interested in the outcome of this as I’ve never managed to get TinyCME and WebYep working together yet, so please let us know what the results/problems are.
Thanks

Margaret can you email me directly and I will have a go at setting it up for you
THANK YOU Max! He fixed the problem, and thinks that maybe since it was a slow upload it may have timed out on me. Seeing the tinyMCE interface now looks like candy to me. Hopefully it will not have any more problems!
.DS_Store is a database that Mac OS X uses to store the position of a window on the desktop, the current view (list, icon, columns) etc. You can’t see it in Finder, because files that begin with a . are hidden by default. You can safely delete it from your server. Most Mac-centric FTP applications will exclude these files from any uploads they perform (you upload a folder to your server, this and several other hidden files are simply ignored and never transferred).

And I just noticed that the tinymce that Max uploaded had a file in it that mine did not:

Like Margaret, I cannot seem to get TinyMCE to work within WebYep. (I just re-downloaded the latest version of TinyMCE today.) I put the tinymce folder in /webyep-system/program/opt folder on the server.
Editing a Rich Text window gives me “Rich Text (TinyMCE)” at the top of the editing window, but no toolbar. (I’ve also tried installing the CKEditor with the same results.) Is there something else I’m missing? Thanks!
And the same problem with me - I’ve tried intermittently for about a year now on different sites and still no success.
