Is it necessary to use the " Install Action in Freeway" . When I tried this I got a message that this would replace newer actions so I cancelled.

When running Freeway 6 for the first time, it will have copied your Freeway 5/5.5 Actions for use with 6. This is why it’s telling you that it will replace the Action. As for it being newer, I think Freeway bases this on the timestamp for the file, which of course is more recent because the file will have been created when first running Freeway 6.
The Exhibeo Action didn’t need to be updated for Freeway 6 so there isn’t another version that you’ll need to download.
