I’ve been making amends to an old site that used FTG to create the PHP form script, but I received an error when trying the form online. I looked on the Bebosoft web site (which doesn’t appear to have been updated for a few years) and didn’t receive a reply when I tried to contact them. Does anyone know if they’re now defunct? Can anyone suggest an alternative for creating the form scripts?

I’m still using FTG without issue… did you check if your version and licensing are current?

Do you have a specific requirement that cannot be done with FW’s own Form actions?

And of course there is wufoo.com http://www.wufoo.com/ who also offer a free service.

Thanks both.
The Big Erns, just checked my version and it is indeed out of date and license - goes to show how often I use it!
DeltaDave, didn’t know FW offered the same sort of features but I don’t use FW often enough to delve into everything. I shall now look and see what’s available.
Thanks again.

FTG is mostly used, if you like to have a form handler sending messages to more than one recipient. Furthermore, I used it to keep the error-messages on page rather re-direct to an error-page (or pop-up window). I think those are the biggest differences - however I have to dive into this matter soon as well (a bit fear of it right now - honestly).
I’d love Wufoo - but honestly those monthly plan structures suck. I mean - I create something for a client, invoicing her, … ah how? Monthly as well? Or average lifetime of the project, anticipating how long this will be? 87% of users won’t use a “contact-form” at all. The click on eMail me substituted this (or do you fill all this stuff out?).
Forms (to me) is very e-commerce oriented and has its damn right there (to buy, to book, to reserve … whatsoever) - and for this I think the on-board tools are a bit shorthanded - or would you disagree here?
Cheers

Hi Thomas
E-commerce is exactly what it’s used for on this site - sending order details to the client then receiving an automated response. I’ve not had any problems with FTG before (until I took my eye off the ball, that is!)
