I’m setting up a web page with a large image which currently scrolls (using Carousel) to show another image depending on which link a user clicks.
Assuming I have 8 links and therefore 8 carousel panes to choose from, is there a way (using Carousel or not) for the user to click link 8 and scroll straight to image 8 without having to scroll through images 2 to 7? And then click on link 4 and scroll straight to image 4 without seeing images 7 to 5? I also need to add multiple links to the images themselves, so I don’t think something like mootools slideshow would suffice. Any ideas?

The Carousel action will quickly scroll through to the target image, so if you are looking at image 1 and you click on the link to see image 8 you will see all the others pass by.
If you forget Carousel for this effect, you could use Target Image or Target Show/Hide Layer. Arrange your pics in a pile one on top of the other, then set up buttons/links etc. to select the chosen image. Your chosen image will appear without you seeing all the others in the pile.

Thanks Paul, I thought that would be the case. I really need the scrolling action to get the right effect so the Target Image won’t work. It looks as though users are going to have to see the other images if they click on the later links first.
