I’ve been using Freeway for years and, at first, I thought there must be something wrong on my side. Isn’t this a serious flaw for a mac-centric application. Export images from Photos and then Import them to Freeway? You’ve got to be kidding! No direct import? No drag and drop? Please say you’ve got this in hand?
… Export images from … and then Import them to Freeway?
… is daily business in a reasonable (web) workflow these days. And if you would be aware of “image concept” in web and Freeway, this shouldn’t be news. Can you name those three main concepts? Giving you the keywords “Pass-Through” and “CSS background decoration” to name two of them.
I hope Towers don’t really invest much mind and time in this.
The Drag and Drop model really isn’t the way to build a responsive website and should be avoided.
For greater image control images should be imported into HTML containers so that you can benefit from the flexibility of image resizing.
Besides, I personally like to ensure that my images are cropped, resized, edited and compressed before using them in FW as pass-through for maximum optimisation.
I do agree that for quick’n’dirty direct import from Photos would be nice but in my workflow not necessary.
