In a similar vein to Doty’s thread about keyboard shortcuts, does
anyone know of a shortcut that switches between pages when working in
Freeway? This would be similar in action to a Back (or Forward) button
in a browser. Currently, I have to go down to the menu at the bottom of
the screen, and select a page from the pop-up list – all done with
clicks of the mouse (trackpad). Kinda cumbersome when switching back
and forth between the same two pages.
Command left+bracket and command right-bracket move between pages. (This is the Mac OS standard previous/next tab shortcut, I just tried it on a hunch.)

Yes, I did the same thing a few years back on a hunch and was happy to find it works. Now, I can leave the left menu in “Page” and sort back and forth between pages without having to return to the site menu first. Very very handy!
Based on this thread - I don’t seem to get what keys the shortcuts for increasing the graphic size (in the graphic box) are…
Thanks

Same thing happened to me as it did for Julie - just shrunk my current page!

Look in your Keyboard Shortcuts preference pane in System Preferences. I am guessing that some system preference has globbed that shortcut. You should see a yellow /! next to it in the list somewhere.

That is very strange. I don’t have much to add, except to say that I’ve been using this shortcut for as long as I can remember, so I don’t think it was added recently. Several years at least, I believe.
Okay, this qualifies as a “duh tip,” but I just remembered it. The command + bracket tips works on history. I just opened a FreeWay document (after having quit the application) and it didn’t work because there was no history. So, click through a few pages and just to make sure, then try it again.
Thanks Doty. I tried this, but no luck. It’s always been a mystery to
me why this sort of strange behavior pops up now and then on computers
in general. Doesn’t make sense.
I would like to understand why Softpress has never created shortcuts for the tools – the things we change the most, I’d say. To me it’s a cardinal sin.
When I’ve requested it (3-4 times), it seems to go nowhere. They did once say that they have so many shortcuts for other things, any more may be hard to create. I don’t get it. Seems they should have done the tool shortcuts first. Anyone else consider this a problem?
Well, I don’t consider it a problem, but it would be a wonderful and
very useful convenience to have a few more keyboard shortcuts. In my
case, by far the most useful shortcut (switching pages) is already a
part of Freeway, but it only seems to work for some users. Maybe it’s
how the planets line up…
