[Pro] layer text over images

the above page is made on a table with the text part of the image. Is there a way of putting an image in a table cell then adding text over the top so it can be read by google.

is there any need of tables these days if it comes to “solid constructions”?

Is there any need of “graphic text” at all?

A table is cool for wrapping certain content, the rest is GoLive (so history).

Review your strategy cause position:absolute is the property or with other words:

Simply put your image on the page, than throw an HTML item above - text in - done.

The project requires a specific FONT?

Why not, some actions can help such as Caxton or WebFont Action. Start Freeway and stop the past.

thank you for the reply.

when I tried that before the text looked fine in freeway but in different browsers the text appeared in different sizes and was bigger than the image, overlapping into white space.

How were you setting the size of the text in FW - if you use small, medium, large etc. then this is far more likely to happen than if you use pixel sizing. (px)

But you should always allow for some ‘wriggle’ room as different visitors will have their default text set at different sizes.

An example would help as you may be doing something wrong elsewhere too.
