[Pro] Link to file action not working in iE

Hi there,
Could someone help me on this one?:
I use a “link to file” action for a Powerpoint file, that opens fine in Firefox, but in IE gets this strange messege:
“Internet Explorer doesn’t know how to handle the type of file you have selected.
You can choose to save this file to your disc or you cab confiqure a Helper Application for this file.
MIME Type: application/zip-compressed
File Name: …pptx”

In Firefox it’s just a regular Powerpoint presentation that opens once you click on the link.
The same thing happens with a Word document that I’ve made a “link to file” for.
In IE it shows as a zip file and you can’t open it…

Help anyone?

I assume that this file is a latest version PPT ie a pptx - if so then it is likely that your server has not been configured with that mime type.

Either save as ppt or ask your hosting Company to add the mime type to the server config if you really need it as a pptx

You can probably add this yourself in an htaccess but if you are not comfortable with that then do one of the other options.
