[Pro] Major Problem With Styling

I’ve created a couple of master pages and have created different styles to go with the Title, text, navigation, links, etc…

But all of a sudden Freeway is randomly bolding and unbolding all my text and navigation and I can’t fix it!!!

When I go into some of the text the bold button is pressed and I can’t click it off.

The Master pages and pages linked to those masters are not matching up… it’s a big mess!

It seems like my styles are going crazy.

Also is there any way to stop Freeway from creating all these Temporary Styles… I think this may be half the problem.

I would rather create something with no styles, and then add my style afterwards.

Thanks

Peter

This is one my biggest peeves about Freeway Pro - the random new styles
generated every time I edit an already styled header… or how editing links
in a styled list un-applies that list style.

Yes, my styles are so messed up I can make heads or tails of how to undo it. And my styles are very organized in how I applied them.

Does anyone have any tips?

I’m not sure what to say Peter - I do the best I can to police these things
as they happen, but at some point everything is too complex to deal with
effectively. I have an inline html item that I can no longer see in my
layout that I just trust to appear in the preview. Hope I never have to
edit its content.

Best of luck,

The best way to deal with this is to go back to your document and create some clearly defined styles for the various areas of your pages.

Then revisit your Masters and apply these styles followed by reapplying the Masters to the child pages.

To avoid as much of the style223, style224 thing as possible it is best to have your styles defined beforehand.

having the same issues with new version, a real mess. Colors showing up that I don’t even have, links appearing and disappearing. Can’t unbold text even after removing all styling. This needs fixing ASAP, please??

Post a link to your page(s) - we may be able to see something that you are not aware of.

Hi Guys,

this is probably not dedicated to you experts, but I wrapped some of my personal thoughts about styling to the following screencast:

Probably there are some helpful (or even new) thoughts in.

Get the Popcorn ready …!

Cheers
