I am creating a site that has one master page and all of the pages use it. It uses a CSS menu. I added links to the menu in the master page and not all of the children pages got the links. Was wondering if there are some rules that about master pages?
I noticed that I can rearrange items that a page gets from the master page. This seems a bit odd to me. I would think that they would be locked. Maybe this is a bad practice.
Thanks.

Look in the Inspector with your menu item selected on the child page.
There are check boxes next to 2 settings - Use Master Content and Use Master Settings
If you want the Content (links etc.) to be the same as the Master then enable this one.
If you want the position etc to be the same as the Master then enable the one next to Settings.

Thanks for the info! I have found 4 pages on my site that do not have either of those buttons in the inspector for the CSS menu.
Any advice on how to get a the menus correctly on those pages?

I have found 4 pages on my site that do not have either of those buttons in the inspector for the CSS menu.
Then the Menu on those pages are no longer linked to your Master.
It may be that you need to Reapply your Master.
On a child page that you wish to Reapply its Master I would first select all content that was unique to the child and copy it to your pasteboard. Then select all the other content on the page and delete it.
Then you can Reapply the Master without fear of getting duplicates and as a last step paste back in the content that is unique to the page
