I have built a site (link above) and on the page tools, the meta tag section is completed with the Names of ‘description’ and ‘keywords’ respectively. I have completed them with a description less than 30 words, and also done the keywords.
Now these were on the master page, and filtered down correctly when published, but when i check webconfs.com spider simulator, it tells me that there is no meta information found.
Checking the html source of your link, I do not see the meta information
either - which is why the webtool sees no meta information. It’s not there
in your page.
Adding things to Master pages doesn’t guarantee they will be added to
dependent pages. I know that adding things to master pages in QuarkXpress
or InDesign will add them to dependent layout pages, but I think Freeway
Pro is a little fuzzy about that. They are more like master ‘templates’
than master pages - great to start from, but not so great after you get
going.
I’m unsure if re-applying your master page will mess you up more than help
out. Perhaps someone who is more resourceful with Freeway Master Pages can
suggest a course of action, or maybe the Softpress elves can chime in with
a strategy.
Best of luck,

Hi folks,
Please be gentle, I’m still learning this…

Each page should have a different description and different meta tags dependent on the content of that page. So this should be done on each individual page anyway.

It would appear that every single page - other than my index.html - had the masters’ tags and description…
funny how the main page, the page that counts - didn’t.
sheesh.
roughly, how long would it take to get this reflected on the spider-bot?

1 - In Safari under the View menu enable the Zoom Text Only option, now visit your pages and Cmd + a couple of times to increase your viewing text size. What this does is simulate how your pages will be seen by visitors on computers with different settings. PCs generally show text bit larger than Macs while older visitors may use a larger default font size.
2 - On your Contact page you have used Text Areas for all your input fields. The Name and Email fields should be Text Fields instead. Also you will need to name these correctly under the 3rd Tab in the inspector. These should be name and email respectively so that your Form processor will work correctly (these are case sensitive). Read the section on Special Names at http://www.freewayactions.com/product.php?id=019 for further clarification.
I would also remove the borders etc. from your form containing table so it looks a bit neater.
