[Pro] Mootools and html text

I’ve built a site for a client and they didn’t like the way it loaded in bits. So I applied the mootools onload action to stop the bits appearing until the background had loaded. Which the like. But now I’m getting a problem with the html text - it appears, then jumps to the right slightly on load. Very odd. Any ideas of how to either solve that problem or another way to delay the page load or change the order in which things load?

I’m getting a problem with the html text

Which text are you referring to - and in what browser(s)

The body copy on this page:

In Explorer 8 on PC.

I’m just going to drop the code and switch to protaculous I think. The fading seems to be the issue.

I am not seeing it jump in IE8/Vista with VMWare Fusion

What I do see is the graphic text Service links planning/design etc render v badly with some dodgy anti-aliasing going on.

dodgy text

And have a look at http://www.deltadesign.co/odds/movie.html

To see how it loads in IE

That’s all showing up about twice as big as it’s meant to - have you enlarged it?

Straightforward screen capture

Ignore the size - my point is about how the graphic text is rendering.

It look fine on every browser I’ve tested it on. Not sure how you’re getting it to do that? I’ve sorted the other issue anyway, by taking mootols out and using protaculous instead.
