I have tried to upload an mp3 file that plays automatically when the above browsers are opened - Chrome tells me that my Quicktime extension has crashed, and nothing happens in Safari. Firefox works fine. Any advice would be much appreciated. I run OSX Mavericks with Freeway 5.5

Hi David, Here’s the link. HOME. This is actually a test for a new version of the site that I’m putting together, so the sound file is visible in the top LH of the page. It now seems to be working in Firefox & Safari, but not in Chrome. Any tips would be most welcome. Many thanks for coming back to me, Richard

This is what I got from Chrome when I launched your page.
"Google Chrome blocks plug-ins that are outdated or those that are not widely used because they can occasionally be a security risk. Plug-ins help browsers process special types of web content, like Flash or Windows Media files. Some plug-ins, such as Flash, are used by many websites on the Internet. Other plug-ins are only used by a small number of sites.
Examples of plug-ins that Chrome blocks:
Java
RealPlayer
QuickTime
Shockwave
Windows Media Player
Adobe Reader prior to Adobe Reader X
Unity
Google Update
VLC "
So your issue may have nothing to do with the file itself.
