[Pro] Music

Hi, I may have asked this before but I need to add music to pages on a new site, ideally, each page will have a different tune starting automatically on opening and looping whilst that page is open. I know about just dropping a track onto the page to achieve this but the controls for quicktime are ugly and limited at best and also the end user must have quicktime installed. I have seen the following site http://www.andygriffinphotography.com/ and it is just what I’m after, is this possible in Freeway? Regards. Steve

That site is using a Flash music player, so have a search on this list for a recent answer I posted. Try using the search terms ‘OLL flash’ and you should hit it.

will have a different tune starting automatically on opening and looping whilst that page is open.

Just make sure that there is a big OFF button on your page because there is nothing like music you cant control to drive visitors away from your site - never to return!

I agree Dave - the site mentioned in the original email drove me to distraction within ten seconds, and since I dislike not being able to turn music off, I would also not be likely to return!

all best wishes

Sorry but I’ve been away, I understand about music on sites but this is for wedding photography and it breaks from the norm as you are trying to create a mood to go with the pictures and prospective client.

In my initial post I led you to a site with how I would like mine to appear, on that site there is an on and OFF button so why are you both missing that???

I didn’t miss it - but my point is that it should be VERY obvious. (The one on that site wasn’t)

The risk is that you alienate visitors if they do not feel that they are in control. A cautionary note only!
