[Pro] Newbie Question on Form Setup Action

Hello everyone,

How do I specify the path to a script file which I have placed in the CGI-Executables folder? I entered the following path in the Action field of the Form Setup window:

http://localhost/CGI-Executables/signUpScript.lc

But when I submit the form, I get a file-not-found error.

Why not just your full web address ie www.yoursite.com/CGI-Executables/signUpScript.lc

This assumes that the file is in a folder called CGI-Executables at the root of your site.

What sort of script is this - it may be something that you can do natively in FW

Hi David,

Thanks for replying. Doesn’t work because Library/WebServer/Documents is the root (where all of the html resides) and CGI-Executables is at the same level as Documents, i.e., Library/WebServer/CGI-Executables.

But that path is on your Mac. Are you hosting this from your Mac, and providing CGI-BIN from your Mac? To the public? That’s where everyone’s questions are stemming from here.
