Because Freeway is not an html editor there is really no way to edit an existing non-Freeway generated site. You can bring in all the resource pieces (photos, text, etc.) that make up your old sites without much trouble, but you will basically have to start over with new layouts using Freeway and without the use of the old html.
But if you use a screenchot of an existing page as a background you should have no problem recreating your site in FW pretty quickly - provided its not huge of course.
Before you start give serious consideration to your repeating items that appear over several pages and create Masters on which to base the subsequent pages.
Good points indeed. I’m a big fan of removing the “Import HTML” option in the menu’s as I have maybe seen three or so sites that translated OK through it but those were written in HTML 3.2 which is super old.
Either option would work here, but both result in you first starting over.
While I plan on rebuilding all of these websites in the months to come, they must be updated right now.
I already have Dreamweaver and Contribute in my CS5 suite, so I am looking at which would be a better editor until I can get into Freeway Pro and start rebuilding these websites!
