I wanted to see how hard it was to update a FWP 5.5 website to FWP 6, so tonight I updated one of my old Perch enabled sites that’s been beat to death on this forum (no pun intended). I also updated Carousel and the Carousel Text Tabs to version 2. I’ll probably switch the Carousel on the home page to Scripty Fader as soon as Walter updates it.
For some reason there’s a thin blue line to the left of the album listing and I can’t figure out why. If you know what’s causing this please let me know so I can fix it.
Also, after the last Carousel slides to the left (the one entitled, "Prices starting as low as $995…) the descriptive text for the first slide briefly changes to black. Not sure what’s causing this either.
It’s caused by a part of the script that duplicates the first element to become the wrap-around last element. This is the second report I have heard of this, so I may need to re-think how this part of the Action works. The work-around for now is to duplicate the color style attribute from the text inside the pane into the style definition of the pane itself. Let’s say you had white text in your pane. Click once on the first pane, open up Item/ Extended, and choose DIV Style from the tabs at the top of the dialog. Click “New”, and enter the following:
Name: color
Value: #ffffff
That will trick the script into setting the correct color. Obviously, if your text isn’t meant to be white, then choose a different color to match your text within the pane.

Walter, that worked perfectly. Thank you. Any suggestions on these issues?
Problem 1

Problem 2
This page is supposed to have two horizontal rules. If you click the Carousel Text Tabs, the rules on all of the other Carousel panes are working, save the first. http://wmp.idealynx.com/properties/cremation.html
Please click on each Text Tab in turn, and ensure that it is set to the proper target – really click on the picker, don’t just look at it to see that it is defaulted where you expect. These links are all being output with the target of #null. Publish again, and I’ll look again. At the moment, it isn’t working at all.

You have applied the same ID to the unordered list #albums as to the outer container box #albums. That style is set in the gallery2.css sheet. First, you cannot have two elements on the same page with the same ID. It’s ambiguous and therefore illegal in HTML. Second, you have a comment there that says “Begin CMS Inserted Code” so I am imagining that the CMS added the ID. You need to pick a different ID for your parent container, and apply the border-left style to that and remove that style beginning with #albums from the existing stylesheet.

Walter, I tried this and you were right. Some of the text tabs didn’t take the settings I applied in the tabs themselves. However, my problem remains. For some reason this particular pane will not display the rules:
If you remove the ID from the beginning of these rules (and collapse it to a single rule) you may be able to have the same effect without having to edit the CSS each time you add an element that has a different ID. (In this case, the issue is that your div#pricing2 isn’t listed above.)
Try using this CSS rule instead, and see if it applies:
That is a considerably less restrictive rule, so it would match any TD in a TR.rule anywhere on the page.

Because you do not have #pricing2 in the group of selectors. You have #buried, #cremorials, #estates, #urn-garden, #niches, and #scattering. If you duplicate the line that begins with #scattering and replace the word #scattering with #pricing2, then you will see the effect. But I believe that if you simplify the selector down to just tr.rule td, you may get the same thing with far fewer lines of code.

I don’t understand why the rules work on the other panes, as well as the other pages, which use the same formatting.
Walter, I’m running into another problem. Every time that I reopen the FWP 6 document, the Carousel Text Tabs reset to the last target on the lists. This has happened at least three times now.
Does this happen after you save and publish? Did you upgrade this document, or did you create it new? Are you sure that the Actions are installed in your Freeway 6 Actions folder? Choose Edit / Actions from the main menu, and see where these Actions are being sourced. This behavior sounds a lot like you may be using a cached copy of the Action (from within the document) rather than the actual installed version.

Upgrade

It says it’s being sourced from User > General | Carousel 2 Text Tab | Object | Used 53 times | 2/7/13 10:35
Walter, I’m going to attempt to start fresh. I’ve deleted all of my FWP 6.0 Actions and I’m installing them as needed, then confirming that they’re properly installed. I’ll keep you posted.
I’m still having problems. Everything is fine until I save the FWP 6 document. Upon reopening all of the Carousel Text Tab settings default to the last Carousel.
Unfortunately, I am unable to resolve the issues I’m having with Carousel Text Tab 2. I tried replacing the Carousel 2 elements with Carousel (updated for FWP 6) and I’m getting the very same results. Everything is fine until I save the document.
So far I tried removing and reinstalling all of my Actions, I deleted and reinstalled FWP 6, and I ran a diagnostic on my Mac, but nothing worked. Not sure where to go from here.
Package up the smallest possible example that shows the problem and mail it to Softpress at support(a)softpress.com for dissection.
