[Pro] Online donations

I have a need to set up a web page to take online credit card donations. Would this be possible and if so how would I go about it?

The easiest way to do this would be with PayPal. Tim Plumb has an Action to make it even easier, have a look at http://freewayactions.com

I would really prefer to use a Visa card rather than a PayPal because of the charges involved!

No matter where you go to accept a credit card, you are going to pay a fee, and unless you are dealing in serious volume, you will get whacked with the same net fee no matter where you go. PayPal is surprisingly affordable when you are dealing with small volumes of payments. Be sure you ramp your PayPal account up to Pro, as you’ll get some better options that way.

in addition - most people feel good about PP because of their privacy policies.

Hi Cos,
A couple of things I wanted to add in here;

  1. Users making a donation with Paypal now no longer need a Paypal
    account to make their donation;
    PayPal Help Center - Personal

  2. Paypal offers reduced transaction fees for registered charities.
    Here is Paypal UK’s announcement for example; https://www.paypal.com/uk/charity
