[Pro] Online form that generate a unique reference number

Hi

Can anyone point me in the right direction for producing an online application from that generates a unique reference number This needs to be attached to the submission (the bit I receive) request and can also be emailed to the person making the enquiry.

Hi Antony,

PHP easiForm Actions will set a unique number in the Subject of an
email if you:

  1. Expand the PHP easiForm action inspector to ‘Advanced’
  2. Select to send a conformation email.
  3. Make sure you have a reference in the ‘Random subject tag’ field,
    there is ‘WC’ by default.

There is a small charge for using the actions per domain (not per
form), you can set it all up and make sure your server is ioncube
friendly (most actually are) so you can make sure it all works as you
want it to then pay for a license.

If you want to see what an email Subject looks like using this unique
number then I will send you through a URL where the easiForm action is
set to do this.

Hi Mike

Thanks for this information. So in principle using this script I could generate an email with a unique reference number in the Subject and the rest of the form content in the email. This could then be sent to multiple addresses. ie. My address and the address included in the form.

The copy you got is the copy sent to the form user (you) then I get
the message but formatted with a simpler layout with the subject:
EF Web contact - [WC75635]

Message content as below:

The following message was received from the web:

Name: Antony
Email: email@hidden
Subject: Other
Page url: -
Message: Test

Submitted: March 8, 2010 at UTC 8.43 pm

</recipient copy>

If you want more people to receive the above then you would need to
add those addresses (up to 3) into the easiForm inspectors CC field.
There is a pdf on using forms with easiForm in Freeway on the easibase
web site, just beside ‘Newly updated’ in red under the easiForm action
download links.
