And… it doesn’t work. When I apply the rollover action and go to the action palette I see only one item, item1a (the yellow box, if you’re following the tutorial), but not the original item1 graphic (the blue one).
Am I missing a step? I’m stopping and starting the tutorial step by step and getting a different result. Is there a secret? One difference I notice is that in the tutorial the graphic item properties has a box ticked for “Combine Graphics,” while my properties show a box ticked, “Combine With Children.” Is this relevant?
If you watch the tutorial you’ll see that when he creates a graphic item the layer box is UNTICKED in the properties window. But when I create one in FW 5.5 Pro, it automatically TICKS that box. Weird. But once I unstick the layers option then the rollover action suddenly starts working correctly.

This is the difference between having the CSS Layout button or the Table Layout button selected.
In most systems if the button is Blue then layered items are created - I say most systems because the colour of the button is determined by your Mac OS system preferences.
