I have noticed on a lot of nice websites, there is a slight stroke or outline on some type. There are some examples below:
www.apple.com (around the font an all header buttons)
www.register365.com (all blue and green font in the footer)
www.twitter.com (black font on “give it a try” button)
It kinda looks like the font is debossed or embedded in the background graphic. Can anyone help me with this effect?

Set your graphic text, select it, then take a look at the Inspector
palette.
Look under the Appearance button (the brush icon), and play around
with the various settings available. When I get a minute, I’ll have a
go at reproducing the Apple effect with some steps for you.
