[Pro] Paypal button

Hi
I have used Freeway for a few years now using Pro but only for very basic websites. I want to create a page with a paypal button which allows people to pay for admission to a charity event.
I went to paypal and they have an option which generates code for a button to take the person to paypal. When the button is generated paypal give you a lump of code to insert into the page on your website.
I have only used Freeway to generate the code so I do not know how to put the code into a page.
Can anyone point me in the right direction.
Thank you
Louis

Go to “Insert > Markup Item” and in the dialog box window paste in your code they give you, click OK and Freeway will drop a box item onto your page and that now holds that markup code.

Easy enough.

Thanks Dan that was very easy. I did it with no problem but then realised I have a practical problem. As the donation is for seats which are either £7 or £5 I need the person to tell me what they are paying for.

An easy option is to get them to email me the details and use paypal to pay the total amount.

Is there any way to let them key in some info at the time they are paying the amount through paypal eg 2 adults 3 children etc.

Thank you again for such quick help it took a weight off my mind to know I can do it so easily.

Sign up for a FREE Mals account and use the FW shop actions to create your add to cart/buy now buttons where you can specify item costs/quantities.

I’ve done just this and got all the details in my PayPal button, set up on PayPal, on my site…however I have a lot of trouble positioning the button.
I put in the code and this time it’s ended up at the top by the nav bar!!! If I remove it from the place I put it on the page it’s on it goes away…I try to insert it again, and position it as per the Softpress Support KB instructions (which I have done before) but it still goes to the top of the page somewhere and then only partially showing!
Must I create a separate HTML or Graphics box or Table to contain this code?

I’m using FW 7 pro.

Thank you, Andries, that’s exactly what I did (and always do) as per KB instructions on Softpress.

I just figured it out. I was trying to put the code into an HTML box in another HTML box. Following Chris Linford’s YouTube video I created a Table and put the code in that and it’s worked …in preview! I hope it stays the same when I upload. It even went exactly where I wanted it.
