[Pro] PayPal Buttons – HEEELLPPP!!!

Hi Guys, I really hope you can help me?

I am setting up a small site for a car show and need PayPal buttons for ticket payments. I have no problem setting up PayPal buttons but it is the apparent limitation of PayPal buttons that is causing me a problem.

We need our customers to make ALL of their ticketing choices on one page the just be able to hit a ‘Pay Now’ or ‘Continue’ button at the bottom of the page which would then take them through to the secure PayPal payment area and allow them to pay for everything in one go.

The Paypal buttons just seem to let you select 1 item then you are taken straight through to the payment area where you can then select the number of one item. As we have Adult, Child and Camping tickets this could cause our customers quite a ‘ball-ache’ having to keep going back to our tickets page to select another item etc etc etc…

A more simplified version of this is what I am trying to achieve. Please help… Hair is being pulled and nails are being knawed!! :o)

Many thanks in advance – James

and need PayPal buttons for ticket payments.

Why do you need PayPal buttons?

Why not use Mal’s with the FW shop actions and use PayPal just for the payment processing.

This page is a very simplified version (1 product) but a setting in Mals means you dont leave the FW created page until you are ready http://www.deltadesign.co/fw_examples/other/testcart.html

Hi David – Many thanks for your reply.

After a little digging and research this is now the route that we are going down and I am in the process of learning how to set this all up. As I’ve never done anything like this before it is giving me a little headache but i’m sure i’ll get there.

What you have supplied is pretty much ‘bang-on’ what I’m after but I just need a drop-down menu so the customer can select the quantity on the actual shop page rather then adding this in Mals.

This will just save any confusion.

This example uses a bit of Markup to check the page and display the updated cart but can use a dropdown instead for the buy section.

If you would like a FW example page email me via the People page at FWT and let me know what version of FW you have.
